Speaker Interview: Eunice Blakely

So, tell us about yourself and what it is you do.

I am Eunice Blakely, MAC, LPC, NCC, Your emotional wellness coach & psychotherapist. I have over sixteen years experience in mental wellness and behavioral health. I am also credentialed as a Master Addiction Counselor as well as a National Certified Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Alabama State University #myASU and a Master of Science Degree in Community Counseling from the University of South Alabama #GoJags.
I have also completed Post-Graduate courses at the University of Mobile in Marriage & Family Counseling and Counseling Studies at Mississippi College. I offer an array of coaching & consulting services geared towards educating, helping others build on their strengths and support with work attaining personal and professional goals. My job is to help you Live your Best Life!

What inspired you to get started in your field?

I really enjoyed working closely with with children in foster care. That was the match that lit my fire. Over time, I grew to love instilling hope, helping others navigate their journey and move toward healing. It was the feeling of knowing I truly helped someone who didn’t believe there was something to hope for that led me to my calling.

What are some insights you learned when you started your business?

Sooo MUCH!
The most important thing I have learned is to keep yourself and your fears in check. Fears can prevent you from a lot of growth. Eventually you will have to do it anyway or stay stuck. Secondly, always be willing to do the work. Nothing is given to you, you must earn it. Lastly, it is important to have a village of people invested in your growth. We all need accountability.
